Throughout his career, Mr. Jelks has earned numerous honors, including Kershaw County School District Teacher of the Year (2016) and Mountain Brook City Schools Secondary District Teacher of the Year (2023). He was also nominated for the National History Teacher of the Year Award in 2019.
